Introduction

Indeed, where is the stem of war and peace in the fears and desires of humanity, which take the sanity of children's sleep and mother's lullaby, nor the world of politics and power from its shadow! It is worth recalling that as much love and hatred have been repeated in human history since the dawn of creation, war and peace are also present in the story of earth and the terrestrial’s people. Lamentably, no chapter in the book of human memories has gone without these concepts. However, there is no gloomy story about life in the earth as bitter as the stories of children who their life filled with family breakdown, overcrowded violence, and warfare.It's enough to read a few history lines of war-torn children, orphans, displaced persons and refugees, divorcees, child victims and thousands of other blustered and lachrymose stories, and see even their dolls and toys of these children are broken-hearted and their dreams fall to the border of hatred and revenge! Hence, the human community will not see safety and security for as long as no measurement about peace and quiet.

Performed Activities
Full translation of the My Body is My Body Programme
The full  “My Body Is My Body” Program was translated into Farsi and Chrissy Sykes created a full Farsi Website for the programme.
 

An introduction to My Body is My Body program and its activities

The plan has began since 2018 and continues. The purpose of this initiative is to familiarise the people of Iran with the My Body is My Body program by introducing seminars at universities and schools. People from different sectors will be introduced to child abuse concepts and slogans of the prevent child abuse. (Project Status: Running)

 

Making small educational video clip to prevent child abuse

In this project, 30 video and PowerPoint presentations were created with 1 and 7 minutes duration. All of these videos were created with the goal of preventing child abuse strategy for various groups’ age as well as parents. The purpose of the plan was to inform families and children in order to prevent possible dangers and risk factor of child abuse. All videos were accessible freely on the Internet so that all Persian speakers could easily use it.

The 3000 signature campaign for child protection and child abuse prevention 

The purpose of the plan was to announce the support of the Iranian people for preventing child abuse by signing on the fabric.   In this plan, a fabric of 15 square meters was fabricated and put in all the main parks of each province. The Iranian people expressed their interests for this program aim with their totally 3000 signatures. (Project Status: Running)

 

Prevent child abuse message 

This idea was implemented for the first time by Shahin and Jahangir Gavanji in Iran, which was written short sentences on the basis of this scheme for people in different groups upper from 7 years old. The content of these short sentences was based on various ages including My Body is My Body quotes. The program asked individuals to be peacekeepers in such a way that the sheets were spread among people and asked people to spread it to people after reading subsequently the message of peace and friendship distributed widely. The project was successfully completed in 31 provinces of Iran with the help of friends and relatives of this project. (Project Status: Running)

 

In the end, we should extend our gratitude towards all the friends in the My Body is My Body Program for their work. We hope that we can take a step forward for peace and friendship and making progress to prevent child abuse in the world.
